I will play a few as well. It’s the last Monday of the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, but there is always time for 40-45 minutes of Euchre!

We need more players for Monday night at 850PM ET. Every OE reader is invited. The games were established to help OE readers improve their Euchre. There is no condemnation at the table. Save the hands to improve your play. Post the game on the forum for more complete guidance to improve your Euchre. It is simple. Right now, go to:
WOCG (World of Card Games) simple instructions:
Register we recommend same UN, User Name as OE
Then from Home Page click on Options in the green Euchre Rectangle
Choose:
Registered Players Only
Bots Either
Stick the Dealer No
Private Table
Enter “Ohioeuchre”
Press OK
Now when you are on the Home Page press anywhere on the green Euchre Rectangle
You are seated at the Ohioeuchre table.
Others can join you or you can start with Bots. Others will replace Bots as they join the table.
One other help. If you arrive late, from Home Page, click on “list of tables.” Join the Ohioeuchre table by pressing on the empty square or B for Bots. You will join the table.
You can also enjoy WoCG Euchre from the “list of tables.” You can play with B for Bots, R for Registered player or G, Guests. For better competition choose games marked “ranked, No bots, reg only, std.” You will earn an “Elo” score comparing you to other players.
The reason we use WoCG is that hands can be saved! A little file icon appears after a hand. Click on it to save the game, including complete play of the hands! Review the game. Share the game on the OE forum and start a post that generates suggestions, to improve your play.
Most of all, play Monday or Friday nights. The games exist to improve the play of OE participants of any skill level.

Thanks Richardb02 for this post.
BTW, players' names are never revealed. We only use seat positions as in North, South, East, and West.

Don't forget - newbies have to play 10 euchre games on that site before sitting at a OE made table (correct me if I'm wrong). So take your time over 2-3 days and get those ten games in before joining a Monday/Friday OE table

10 games aren’t required to join the OE table.
Playing 10 games is a requirement for “Ranked” hands. That is a relevant milestone. You earn a “Rank,” called “Elo” on WoCG, comparing your skill level to other players. You start at 1500 and move up or down based on wins/losses combined with team/opponents ranks. Equal opponents will create an up or down movement of 25 points per player. I’ve seen unequal opponents creating a 10/40 split in points. Having a “Rank” increases my enjoyment of the WoCG site.
So do both!! Play the OE table and see how you rank.
I’ll be at the OE table at 850 ET looking for 8 players! We can have multiple tables!

By the way...was the table supposed to be set to STD? I know there was one hand that made it all the way around twice and got passed and one of you shouted "STD". I have never NOT played STD until last night, but the posts describing the table set up say to select "NO" for STD:
Let me know, because STD is definitely my preference. I felt dirty passing at S4R2. In fact, i almost called something just on principle...but i truly had a very weak hand.Choose:

Thanks for jointing us Catch10! You played well. Come back and play some more. Of course analyzing the games will help. Feel free to post any interesting hands.
We have expunged STD from the OE games for a period of time. However, it did haunt us for a while. I surmise, that since every player has their own settings, the game may be STD during their deal. Please check your settings periodically, to NOT have your settings set for STD. I believe Wolf chatted STD. Wolf, please check your settings. You can check for STD during the game. In the bottom left corner, press table info (or something similar) to check. I find myself, when we switch from the OE table to “Ranked” games, needing a reminder whether we are playing STD or regular Euchre.
I suggest that another difference from regular players to OE players is the percentage of euchres. Winning Euchre requires taking calculated chances. So quality players are also aggressive Makers. Ordering aggressively increases the percentages of euchres. 16 to 20% euchres (one out of every 5 or 6 hands) seems to be the norm with quality, aggressive players. The World Class players get down to 15% or lower, with superior card playing skills, not less aggressive ordering. I hover around 18%. I have a lot to learn! That is why I am on OE.

Why?

This should probably be set by whoever created the table. Would be particularly unfair if it changed throughout the game!

I don't know who we is? We have expunged STD from the OE games for a period of time. However, it did haunt us for a while.
I was under the assumption it was STD. I passed my hand under that assumption.I had a euchre hand on that one. It made a difference. I frankly do not care if STD or not, just need to know!
Just let you know, it is the DEALER's HAZARD and disadvantage for him to be under STD. Being STD that is.
I agree with Catch, it should not change from deal to deal.
