Just amazing! No trump by the opponents and no aces by Pone and he leads trump! Ignorance is BLISS!

There must be something about your opponents being void in trump that makes you just want to lead it again, knowing they can't take a trick from you, or at least that's my guess as to why people double lead trump so often, even though the opponents have none. W also makes a mistake here by not saving the KS until the last card, the odds your partner has another trump are very slim, and you may make one of your opponents discard incorrectly, although it should be an easy choice by N to keep the singleton AS compared to the tripleton AH, and his team turned down spades as well.

It's a solid tactic though to lead your low trump of 2 left when your opponents have no trump if you have no aces. If your partner has another trump higher they can take the lead and lead out the aces if they have them

- no way no how ! ---- 4th street when your opponents have NO trumps is an off suit lead and hope your P still has trump and then YOUR trump is good for the march. only if I have top trump AND ace would I lead trumps to march on 4th trick.XaviRonaldo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 1:19 amIt's a solid tactic though to lead your low trump of 2 left when your opponents have no trump if you have no aces. Valid point Lefty about a 4th Street Lead.
However, the OP is about the 2nd Street lead. Opponents showed that they had no trump! It’s rare but it happens. An S3 lead of any off trump would have resulted in 5 tricks and 2 points. Maker, S1 would have trumped and lead the Ks, which would have been trumped by S3’s Left. S1’s trumps would have then walked for 2 points.
An additional observation is that a 9h lead is the best choice. The probability of running into Maker’s void is greater with 2 hearts than a singleton diamond.
The 4th Street lead of the Ks now makes more sense. There is still a trump in the wild. Maker expected Partner to have the 7th trump, because he lead trump, back on Street 2.

I was referring to a 2nd trick lead. Especially if 3 suited there's a good chance by leading your offsuit junk you run into a suit that your partner doesn't have power in. Now, knowing only your partner could have any more trump and you having junk offsuit leading a low trump can give your partner the lead to lead their strong suit so you can throw your junk out. I apologize if this was off topic to the OP. My phone doesn't do the hand replayer.LeftyK wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:50 pm- no way no how !
