Well, if you are playing with weaker partners and unknowns I favor a call here. Otherwise it's a pass for me.


With the way you played it I would have lead the right bauer followed by the King of Hearts to give you the best shot. You are euchred regardless here no matter how you play it but generally Leading from right then boss King hearts is the play to make. What happens after , just happens.

The decision point is close between calling hearts and bagging with the intention of calling Next. This is the kinda hand I'm gonna test someday. My rule of thumb as of now is against weak players who will pass R+1/3 low trump/2 low trump 2 aces/etc, I'm gonna order in the first round. Against aggressive players that don't pass biddables, I bag and call Next if they pass.

Once you do call Next, you should lead the Right and then lead the boss KH and if you still have the lead after that, lead the TH.
