I am picking up and discarding the Jack of Hearts. I don't know how I will play the hand. There is a lot of action to be had before it gets to me in the dealer seat and we don't know whats the opening lead is and what the rest will do or how they will play yet.

I call here. I have to have a euchre hand (every suit blocked + approx 2 tricks in every suit) before I consider passing R+1+A. You don't have 2 tricks in Next so I'm calling. Discard the JH. I've seen players discard the KC but that's a mistake. That KC has value as it can help push out enemy trump later in the hand plus you wanna give yourself the opportunity to short-suit yourself in your loser suit (hearts) perhaps on the first lead. Can't do that if you keep both hearts.
