I agree that Richard should trump higher than the upcard but I do find it extra amusing that even if he does trump higher than the upcard he is still euchred anyways (assuming I play my hand correctly).

But it was the trumping of my partner's AC that sealed your fate.

Trumping my AC was the correct move but even if you didn't trump it Richards was still set.
