Players make mistakes, often. You don’t need em all to make a point.
This hand I think is interesting:
9S IS THE UP CARD. S4 - I hold JC KD JD 10D 9D and think I can make two tricks and scared of Next and Hearts if I pass. Score is 7 to 4 our favor. I expected to have a 60:40 chance of making a point. I need HELP! If S1 leads his JS first then the AC or QH results in a euchre. So where would this fit in with Power Euchre? Ha ha, don't depend on your Partner for a trick?
And here is how this hand played out, Spades is trump:
S1 AD AC QH QD JS
S2 QS KC TH TC QC
S3 9C TS AH 9H KH FIXED!
S4 TD JD 9S KD JC
Notice on trick 2, I do not want to use the JC to over trump the 10S. I want my Partner to always take two tricks.

With being two suited like you said you want your partner to take 2 but any time at the start or in the middle of hand if trump is lead by opponents it could cause problems. So as a semi defensive move. Much like a seat 1 donate you allow your partner to either take control or get their two tricks. However if your partner is not wise to tje possible situation. They may be more of a hindrance than help.
