Hand #11 Dealer turns down Hearts, Seat 1 does not call next(diamonds) Seat 2 calls reverse next and makes their point. Score is 7-5 Dealer team. To be or not to be that is the question... Potential euchre if you don't make it calling Next and down 9-5 or take your chances with a pass?

Hand #12 Different Scenario score is 0-0. Dealer turn down clubs, Seat 1 calls Next/hoyle(spades) and proceeds to make point with partner. Easier to take risks at this score as someone one said, "it's early". And it pays off.

I definitely call Next in that spot, but it's not exactly a fun call to make, calling Next on close to nothing down 7-5. But passing with a hand that blocks nothing down 7-5 just feels like giving up and I don't like giving up! Always keep fighting! Never surrender! Obviously when we are P's we HAVE to make that next call in that spot becuz we still wanna bag heavy from the 3rd Seat-Rnd 1 at that score.Tbolt65 wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 3:17 amHand #11 Dealer turns down Hearts, Seat 1 does not call next(diamonds) Seat 2 calls reverse next and makes their point. Yep. Standard Next call with R+0+A. That's too big of a hand to pass when we don't block reverse Next.Tbolt65 wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 3:17 amHand #12 Different Scenario score is 0-0. I don't think in terms in blocking reverse next. If I have nothing callable and your not my partner I am not calling I still see value in passing in certain cases. I'm only calling if I'm semi-donating/blocking when I don't have anything to call and at specific scores.Wes (aka the legend) wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 6:13 amI definitely call Next in that spot, but it's not exactly a fun call to make, calling Next on close to nothing down 7-5. It's a tough decision not exactly one thats totally cut and dry but I also agree here too Wes. If I'm your p or vice versa, Yep WE GOTTA do it.

With this hand here, I don't care who my partner is. I'm am calling all day.
