Playing as a team

Wes and I played a few games later on Monday. I’ll post a couple of them.
Here is a hand in which south decided not to help his partner.

Yeah south not leading the right (or any trump) after "second hand low" would get chewed out by me.
This is how NOT to march. This is one of my pet peeves.

Yeah I don't know why South didn't lead the Right. Was this a misclick or misunderstanding of who ordered up?

Possible, but so many players have no clue how to be a good P I would assume it's just bad play. If me or Don did that then it would have to be a misclick. :)

While it's hard to say what was in south mind, or if it was indeed a misclick, my take here is that south plays only as an individual with no concept of this being a partnership game.

Let’s add the Basic Principle to this post. It is found here:

https://ohioeuchre.com/L-Learn_To_Play_ ... o_Lead.php

The title of the subsection is:
“Once you get to lead”
The opening sentence is:
“If your partner called trump, and you hold the right or left, you should lead it at your first opportunity.”

Sadly, I see that a whole lot with most players. It's highly rare that I ever see someone play second hand low for example, so I wind up wasting my Ace because my partner decided to trump on a queen lead!
