When I see hands like this from the Monday/Friday night games my first thought is S1 didn't realize his P called. He probably thought the dealer called. I've made that mistake before on that site. It's very easy to do.

But lead another Diamond when your partner (maker) sloughed the AC?

S1 definitely played like he thought the dealer called.

When S3 calls, S1 should always lead a trump. I can understand not doing it a little bit in this case because S1 only has one trump (the left) but I'm still pretty sure that leading the left would have been the best lead. It's a sure bet that S3 has the right and at least one (probably two) more trump so leading the left would strip the enemy of trump and give the maker control of trump.

S1 also shouldn't have trumped in with the left on street 2. It would have been better to throw off and let his partner (the maker) take it.

Now... if the dealer had called then S1's plays make much more sense. However, his partner was the maker, not the dealer.
