Pass or Call?

I'm sure we're all sometimes faced with situations where we have to take a gamble in order to win.

Let's say you're in First Seat holding this:

(Card_J-S) (Card_J-C) (Card_A-S) (Card_K-S) (Card_Q-S)

Upcard is the Jack of Hearts. Score is 6-6. Pass or call?

This actually happened to me in a game last night (except that I was holding the above hand in third seat).

You should probably donate in this position because you have no way to stop a loner. But... if everybody passes in the first round then you win the game. Would you take the gamble and pass or would you order up the maker?

Against the (Card_J-H) I'm donating. Just can't mess around in that spot.

Against the (Card_9-H) I'll gamble and pass.

Of course the above is read dependent. If the dealer will pass biddable hands or is passive on loners that can flip the script.
