Yes, the maker makes a critical mistake by playing under. With a boss offsuit that call pull out more trump, the maker should always play the Right in that spot.

i agree. Makes me wonder what the 5 card strategy was of S3 & S4? For S3, now has no more trump and S4 has to use the Right or play under and hope his partner has the Left. Longer shot, use that JS, lead another diamond. Only if both opponents has two trumps each (about 6.5%) will get that euchre. But playing under, S1 just has to have JC or AS - 50%. In this case it is all about Probabilities. No contest.

For S3 his hope is for what occurred to actually happen.

I would be interesting to know WHY the dealer under played? Perhaps, another example of how the WOCG has altered this players style of play? As well as S3 to lead trump instead of the AH. Or was both just craziness?
