I have shown examples of this in the past and here’s another. These thin calls may give your team the winning advantage you need when playing against experienced players.

In this hand I would actually pass. Having 2 out of 3 second round suits blocked is enough defense for me not to call marginal. My two low trump+off ace calls are really for those spots where I block nothing in the 2nd round or only block 1 out of 3 suits. Basically the theoretical idea is the higher the cost of passing the more marginal we need to call. I'm guessing that having 2 out of 3 suits blocked lowers the cost of passing enough to make calling this marginal not worth it. That said, with a large lead, I may still call when I have 2/3 suits blocked. With a large lead we have the right to be more paranoid becuz a euchre now doesn't cost that much.
