Any Good Way To Handle This?

Unread post by RedDuke » Thu Jul 02, 2020 1:17 am

You are down 6-0.

Upcard is (Card_Q-S) . You are in third seat.

You have this:
(Card_9-C) (Card_10-D) (Card_9-H) (Card_10-H) (Card_Q-H)

Everybody rejects the queen. Your partner calls diamonds and leads (Card_Q-C) .

Second seat promptly leads the ace.

If I was drunk enough, I'd probably punch my partner in the face. But what would you do?

Your partner can still have hands that are played correctly in that spot!

True, but my hand is totally worthless to help so if his is strong enough to do a reverse next call when we're down 6-0 then the partner should probably go alone.

Then again, most people don't go alone nearly enough.

If I have 3 low trump that aren't next I'll typically lead the off suit

I'm third seat here. Can't lead.
