Chicago Suburbs tournaments

I know of 2 going on right now, both pretty small and informal. Both play what i would consider a standard euchre game (STD, but no other variations.)

1) First Saturday of each month, 6:30pm at Stilin's in Lisle, IL. Buy in is $5+$1. Typically 12-20 players. It is run through Meetup, and you must be a member of the group to play.

2) Every Sunday, 1pm at Amvets 103 in Aurora, IL. Buy in is $10+$1, with an optional $5 side pot. Side pot is awarded to the highest score by a participant in the side pot. There is a $0.25 penalty for getting euchred. This pot is awarded to the player with the most successful loners on the day. One rule difference for this game is that setting a loner attempt gets you 4 points instead of 2. It is listed on Meetup, but most players just show up and do not RSVP through the site. Typically 12+ players.

This one is still ongoing, but they increased the cost to basically $5 + $5 to cover the cost of the Meetup posting. So...don't go expecting to win rent money.

I haven't been able to make it to this one in while, but so far as i know it's still ongoing. It is no longer posted on the Meetup app however.
