You've lost the first two tricks, now what?

In a hand where your partner called and has lost the first two tricks, after taking trick 3, you must lead back a trump back to your partner.

On this hand, it was just luck that the south seat still had a heart, allowing your team to win.

Seat one shouldn't have called Spades top begin with. He wasn't much weaker in Clubs. He should have just passed and went next.

Two excellent examples about returning trump, to you partner, who ordered and specifically on the fourth trick.

Your team is down 2 tricks to 1. You have the lead, but Partner ordered. The Maker expects to take 2 tricks and get one from his partner, you. You have taken your trick. It is time to return control of the hand to Partner. You must lead a trump to Partner in these 2 examples so he can take control of the hand. In addition, you are forcing your opponents to play their trump. That would have worked and won in the 2nd example, instead of being euchred!

I have seen the illustrated situation 2 or 3 times in a single game! It happens frequently and will improve your winning rate when incorporated into your Euchre.

I would have made at least 3 different decisions on ordering or passing. However, the OP (Opening Post) clearly informed the reader that the purpose was "leading a trump to your partner on the 4th lead, down 2 tricks to 1, is mandatory, for greater success."
